Final Four

The Lady  Vols are again in the Elite 8 and looking for their 17th final four appearance in spite of a lethargic beginning to their sweet 16 game against Notre Dame. Next up is the Texas A&M Aggies who are looking for their first final four appearance. So the question is how far past the Elite 8 will this years Lady Vols advance. I am very interested in all opinions especially those from  all the #1 seeds are in still in play  fans/followers of the  other Women Elite 8 teams.

The Lady Vols will: any comment welcome

For those not sure the other Elite 8 games  are LSU vs North Carolina,  Rutgers vs Connecticut, Stanford vs Maryland,

Elite 8

In case there was ANY doubt in any one's mind I am pulling for the Lady Vols to repeat and win #8. That being said I know that is a very difficult feat for them to attempt to achieve.

Final Four

LSU ladies have advanced to the Final Four and UNC ladies go home

Looks like I am talking to me even after I changed Blog title. Maybe there are very very few on this board interested in women's basketball.

Final Four

Yes Venom , that game really was outstanding. Candice Wiggins and Sylvia Fowles lead their teams into the Final Four by knocking off No. 1 seeds WIggins poured in 41 points  to power Stanford past Maryland 98-87 and  Fowles' 21 points and 12 rebounds powered LSU over NC 56-50.

Looks like in Spokane and New Orleans the number twos were on a mission. Hopefully Tennessee ladies #1 will fare better tonight.

Final Four

Connecticut and Tennessee advance to the Final Four in spite of a real fight by Rutgers against Connecticut and Candace Parker dislocating her shoulder not once but twice.

So now we are looking at Stanford vs Connecticut and Tennessee vs LSU. And ALL these Ladies are ready to play. Another two matchups of #1 seeds against #2 seeds.

Final Four

I'm looking forward to both of the games as well, particularly the LSU-Tennessee game.  I'll root for anybody against UConn.

Final Four

For sure UConn is not high on my list of schools even though they have the husky as mascot. Poor Huskies
